Print Design

Yes, people do actually still need print-ready designs (crazy for this digital age, I know!) Showcased below are some of the designs that have been made for print purposes.

P.S. I love to support the small businesses that I work with, so I will be linking their information at the end of each section.

The Greenery came to me asking about some outdoor banner designs. Around the nursery, they have some long banners that hang from posts directing customers to where different types of plants are located. I was tasked to create 5 banners – Shade Plants, Citrus Trees, Terrace, X, X – because the ones they had were getting faded and outdated. They also wanted new banners for their street side, which has one banner that stays the same all year displaying their name, and others that change seasonally.

Photos of these banners are coming soon as the project is not yet fully completed. Stay tuned!

In 2021, I had the opportunity to work at E. & J. Gallo Winery as an intern in the IT department. Creating a wine label was an extension to the project that I had already completed. The label I created was meant to go onto a wine bottle for unbiased sampling purposes. They did not want any of their brands displayed openly on the bottle for fear of it swaying samplers. I started by first creating a logo that I felt matched the name I was given – The Blended Table. I then went to their label database and was able to get the right dimensions and shape for the label. I wanted the label to have an elegant feel with curvature in the graphics, but sharp angles in the text. At this point I was a very new designer, So I had my fair share of difficulties. I was relatively new at using Adobe Illustrator and had not formally designed something that was going to be used for printing. Although I struggled, I learned so much and overcoming my fear of AI was so worth it as I use it in almost every project now.
